THREE
We have two more embryos that made it to blasts and were able to be biopsied and frozen. The rest arrested and were not able to be biopsied or frozen.
That leaves us with 3.
My exact feelings are "*ugh*". I'm not completely surprised, I do have crap eggs... you can't deny that w/ 9 embryos fizzling out between days 3 and 6.
Now we must wait 4-6 weeks for the results to come back from the lab.
*sigh*

Three isn't horrible, but I'm sorry you don't have all 9. Sucks how much work we go through, and for just 3 eggs it can feel like a kick in the gut. I hope all 3 are perfect and result in a pregnancy.
I don't know... that sounds pretty good to me! You had almost identical results to me (I had 12 mature, 11 fertilized, 3 blasts) and my cycle had pretty awesome results. Think about it... fresh cycles that have anything at all to freeze are rare and most people wouldn't transfer more than 2 blasts, so that means you would have 1 or 2 to freeze. Anyway, I'm excited for you!
that sounds awesome to me to! I doubt I'd even have that many. I hope the results come back positively promising.
Good point Cindy... thanks for the reassurance... I'm trying not to be too hopeful until the CGH results come back. I don't know if I'm ballsy enough to do a single embryo transfer like you!
I don't think our decision to transfer one was ballsy. We transferred one because we were scared TO DEATH of twins. And I can tell you that it was definitely the right choice for us. I can't imagine life with two newborns at the same time. Holy crap, that would be hard. And I was willing to risk failure (and a potential extra FET or two) to be sure I would have my kiddos one at a time.
p.s. Have I mentioned how incredibly excited I am for you guys?!!!
I know how you feel. IVF #4 I had 8 eggs fertilize. 7 were left on day 2 and all were crappy. we transfered the "best" 3 and the rest died by day 3. Same thing with IVF#5.
