In the meantime...

See that little ticker over there? That's how much time I have to kill before being able to move on with my life. I'm going batcrazy in the meantime!

We're (I'm) doing some projects around the house. I have grand visions of picking up a new hobby or skill or three. Let's make curtains! Sure! Try Yoga? Great idea! Pick all the weeds out of the lawn by hand! Oh Yeah, sign me up! Ok, some are more realistic than others, but there's nothing wrong with dreaming big.

An FET update... this week we're thinking of transferring both embryos. Transferring 2 increases the success rates. Also provides definite closure. Talk amongst yourselves (ala coffee talk SNL style).

Hmmm new hobbies for you?

Have you tried braiding the cat and taking her to shows?

You can make soap figurines out of last bit of a soap bar in the shower.

You can collect dust bunnies from the corners and make a collage.

Just tossing out some ideas!!

stopping by from ICLW.

Good luck on your journey

You didn't mention learning to reupholster furniture!

I think transferring 2 makes a lot of sense. Well, either way has it's advantages, but I can certainly see why you'd want to transfer both.

2 sounds good to me! I'd do that.

Have you learned to cane furniture? It is beautiful and you can get antique broken caned chairs for cheap and the result is gorgeous.

I love the idea of new hobbies. Generally I get as far as the materials for the hobby of the week. Yoga? Buy yoga pants...leave in bag. Home remodeling? Tear wallpaper off and and then leave bare wall up and walk around paint brush lying on the floor.

Good luck killing time until the transfer! (I'm thinking two!)

Hi!

Thanks for the comment on my blog (ivfatccrm)! Good luck to you as well! I "heart" CCRM....we should get bumper stickers made. I really feel a sense of peace that regardless of the outcome, we made the right decision going to CCRM. Keep in touch - Christina

Cloud counting. Not only a pastime, but also something to help make new friends as peoplecannot resist the urge to ask you what you're doing. ;-)

Maybe I need to get out more.

If my husband and I hadn't acquired our hobbies (brewing and quilting) we'd be going out of our mind too. Well, we still are going out of our mind, but it does help.

Good luck this cycle and with finding a hobbie!

Good luck with your upcoming FET.

As for making curtains, buy some really good quality sheets and fold the top over and sew it to make a pocket for the curtain rod...that's my favorite cheat...LOL.

I don't know if I'd call them hobbies, but I'm pretty good at finding useless ways to pass the time... looking at random people's wedding registries... staring off into space... thinking about baking bread...

organizing sock drawer by color and underwear drawer by style...

alphabetizing your spices and finding a new recipe to use each of them in...

gum wrapper paper chains - Christmas will be here soon and you can always use it for garland...

In all seriousness, I hope the time passes quickly for you.
