New things in the house.

So, I got a phone call on Friday saying that the crib we ordered came in. Great! D and I went over to pick it up on Saturday, since it might as well sit here instead of in the store's warehouse.

Yeah. There's a crib in our crib. Like one of those things you put a *baby* in. (and then they proceed to scream for an hour and it's 4 am, but of course *our* baby won't do that, right?)

The nursery is going to be painted sometime in March, shower #1 is on March 14th, shower #2 is May 2nd. We even signed up for a 'how to have a baby' class at the hospital I'll be delivering at. How much more real can this get, people? And yet I'm still really in disbelief. I kind of feel like we're playing 'baby', and it's all pretend and someone's going to come and pick everything up and take it away. Or I'll end up donating everything. *something*

Oh, I digress... next appt is at 25w1d- this Wednesday. Only thing notable is the gestational diabetes test where I have to drink this neon orange pop type drink.

Good luck with the gestation diabetes test! Hoping you don't have that--we treat lots of gestationals at my clinic and it's a huge pain.
Glad you got the crib--and you know what? I think it's really real :)

No, YOUR baby will never cry in the middle of the night.

I'm glad everything is coming together. My baby is going to be a year old in a few days and I'm still not 100% convinced she's real. Just do your best to enjoy each day. That's all we can do.

I'd love to lie to you and tell you that the drink tastes just like orange soda and that you'll actually enjoy, but I won't get your hopes up. :) Blech. Good luck with the test though!!

Everything sounds SO EXCITING! I'm really really happy for you. This is great. Having a baby is like the feeling of getting married, you get to plan and shop for this wonderful party where you'll be the princess of the ball. But the baby is EVEN better, 'cause after the ball is over, you get this beautiful little treasure to take home with you.

Awe, I'm thrilled for you!

Hey! Hope your GD test went well because if you have to take the 3 hour one if you fail the first it REALLY sucks. (I had to do it) Anyway, congrats on the crib! I'll have to come over and check things out when you get it painted! :)

That was a great news. I could feel your excitement. Through this you will be able to really feel that the baby is coming soon and that you had prepare all the things he might need when he comes out. In case you have other concerns, regarding fertility, I found this site that maybe helpful. http://www.natural-fertility-prescription.com
